History and curiosity: named "Vino delle Dame", the Custoza is a
wine produced in the province of Verona, with Denomination of Origin
Controlled since 1971. It bears the name of a small town built in
Roman era as a post office on the Via Postumia and became
famous in the Risorgimento, when its hills became the scenery of
two bloody battles fought between the Italian Royal Army and
the Austrian imperial.
